Grand Princess Cruise
for St. Valentine's Day
This press event had 1,000 people re-new their marriage
vows on the ship as it cruised the Caribbean.
February 7-14, 1999
2/9/99 Photo by Tim Chapman...More than a thousand
couples renew their vows at sea aboard Grand Princess, the largest
cruise ship in the world. The "Love Boat National Holiday"
was officiated by Judge Joseph Wapner and Gavin MacLeod,Captain
Stubing from "The Love Boat" tv series and the real
captain of the Grand Princess, Giuseppe Romano. The couples dressed
in special Valentine's t-shirts with top hats and veils. The ship
was on it's way to St. Thomas as part of a seven day Caribbean
cruise.
