The biggest press event at Disneyland on 05/05/05,
the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
I was Technical Manager for the three hour Sunrise 7 Australian
morning show. It's the most watched morning show in Australia.
What a great group of professionals from Down Under. We had a
marvelous time.
Here I am with some of my crew in from of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
That's Mark, me, Kevin and Paul.
The show moved all over Disneyland Resort. First at
the Castle then on to Toontown. We then moved to DCA and then
back to the Castle Hub location.
The I/O panel on SS-3 with a shot of one of the many
"butt farms" where all the interconnections occurred.
Everything performed flawlessly. Thanks Hoss and Dave!
Shots inside the mobile unit with me in the rear set
keeping an eye on everything. Ken directing with Dougie producing
and a shot off the 16X9 PAL screen of Mel and Kochie, the hosts.
I also Tech Managed the Univision morning show "Despierta
America", shot in Fantsyland Theater for two mornings.
A 50-year old camera next to a modern one. It was my
idea to get this model camera that was used to shoot the opening
day ceremonies for the live shots. Reporters got in front of the
old camera to show viewers what it would have looked like if they
watched the original opening day telecast. Thanks to Chuck Pharris
for providing the camera and the technical expertise. The camera
was a big hit.
And here is a shot of the KTLA morning show on Wednesday
morning in front of the castle. I also managed that shoot.
